A lot of students come into my store to buy laptops. They don’t need anything too fancy. They just basically need something to write papers and surf the Internet. So it’s always interesting to see what type of laptop they end up with.
Some people buy a cheap, ugly laptop that will do the job and others spend hundreds of dollars more just so that it will look nice. I’m not judging them. It’s just interesting to point out.
Some parents won’t buy a nice looking laptop for their kids though. They buy the cheapest laptop that will do the job. They don’t care what it looks like.
If you are one of those students who has to make due with an ugly laptop, here’s a way to make it a little nicer. Go online and look up laptop skins. These are big stickers that cover the top of your laptop.
You can get a solid color, or you can pick out a pattern or picture. They usually have a library you can choose from. This is a cheap way to make your laptop look a little nicer.
Here’s another tip: A lot of the companies also allow you to design your own laptop skin. You can upload a picture of your own, and have that printed and sent to you. Maybe upload your school’s logo and show your school spirit. Or upload a picture of your dog or a drawing by your favorite artist. It’s up to you.
Just be careful applying the skin. You don’t want air bubbles. Those look really tacky. Check out YouTube for some great tutorials. They will show you some tricks so that the skin is applied perfectly.
So don’t worry if your laptop looks boring. You can give it a facelift in just a few minutes by just ordering a laptop skin of your choice! You may not have the nicest laptop in school, but at least it will be yours.
